Glimpse Of Anxiety Poem by Sumaya Aijaz

Glimpse Of Anxiety

Eyes opened into the heart of night,
Darkness gathered without a light.
A silent cry rose with all its might,
As though life itself were held too tight.
Tears rolled down the cheeks,
While stars peered through the window,
As if longed to gently wipe
A sorrow too silent for words to speak.
A little soul cried aloud,
Yet not a vibrant sound was found.
Pain hid deep within the wound,
Too hidden to be trace or known.
Frozen tears, like sheets of ice -
Hard to touch, yet soft thrice.
A feeling without a name,
Leaving even the wisest lame.
