God Poem by Paul Warren

God

They say for Muslim, Christian and Jew
That we worship the same single God

And that Jerusalem was the centre of religion
But there are differences in these religions

Where we believe different things
We should all be able to believe

What we want to believe for our God
So I wonder why these religions

Cannot preach tolerance to each other
In peace to go about our individual lives

Where the presence of God can be mapped
In the frontal lobes of our brains

To contemplate what God means to us
And no bring war down on each other.
