God Already Knows Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

God Already Knows

Better to dream,
Whatever it is bigger to get.
And lesser will be the disappointment.
When that dream arrives.
Not as big.
Nor either received to leave scutinized.

However...
No one but you will know,
What it was to dream.
Or how impossible for 'them',
To keep such a faith kept.
Yet no one but you,
Will know the depth of it.

God already knows,
Who prays with faith...
For dreams wished to get.
But may have on His agenda,
A need overlooked.
One who prays considers,
Much to big to wish.
To get it delivered.
Unexpectedly to surprise.

God better knows,
What it is we need.
More than we believe,
What it is wanted to dream.

"I don't believe it."

-You don't believe what? -

"Well...
I was going to say,
I don't believe what I got to receive."

-Are you deserving of it or not? -

"Yeah.
I believe I do."

-Then...
You 'do' Believe it! -

"Look...
Don't make it more confusing,
Than I can explain...
What it was I disbelieved.
To know better now why I should believe."

-And you say,
I am making it more confusing? -

"Just forget I even opened my mouth."

-Done!
Thank God.-
