God gave man the ability to write
So, other souls with their words they could ignite,
Hymns and greetings and joy to excite
But, instead many uses it to compose hate to ignite.
God gave man ears to hear
To listen to his words from far and near,
And to listen to the sound of nature clear
But, instead many rather listen to hate and fear.
God gave man a tongue to speak
He gifted man with that technique,
So, to others he could help and learn and seek
But, instead he used it to curse the poor and the weak.
God gave man eyes so he could see
All of his creations and his created beauty,
He gave man that wondrous key
But, instead he wanted to look at sin from a tree.
God gave man hands to build and pray
And for mighty foundations to lay,
And to help his brothers and sisters in every way
But, instead he used them to slay.
