Going Along Just For The Ride Poem by Dorsey Baker

Going Along Just For The Ride

Beneath the bridge
Deep river raging
Water rising
Still a whole lot of people
Crossing over

Thinking they would be
Better off
On the other side

The circus is back in town

Might see
Woman wearing too big
Men pants
Man dressed up in
Too tight
Women clothes
Ready for the new morals
The tables have turned

Attitudes have changed
Now a days
Anything goes

Pull up a chair
Sit down
Let's have a friendly drink
Or two
I ain't going along
With everybody else
I would rather come along with you!
