Going Back To Scotland Poem by Randy McClave

Going Back To Scotland

Rating: 5.0

I am heading back to Scotland,
My home I feel from within
The birthplace of my clan, my kin,
The backside of a warriors hand.

I wanna hear the pipers pipe,
When I return to my ancestral home
Never more I promise will I roam,
No more will I groan or gripe.
I wanna head back to the highlands,
Climb the mountains that are so dear
Unto all I'll give a a toast and a cheer,
And my bare feet place deep in her sands.

I am heading back to Scotland,
With thesaltire flying high on the castle hill
If my feet won't take me, my soul will,
I am heading back to Scotland.
