Golden Is Silence Poem by Heather Z. Hanna

Golden Is Silence

My timing is terrible.
My words are too much.
This craziness inside
Is tearing me up.

I need to make changes.
I need to slow down.
I want to get better
At shutting my mouth.

Rust up the hinges that
Connect up my mouth.
Turn down the volume
My head it does shout.

Close up, word factory.
Shut down, exposure.
Too much, too many
Words that are empty

Golden is Silence.
And silence is free.
Free to say nothing.
Don't listen to me!
