Gripping the hand of someone,
Asking for one last thing.
Could kill you on the inside,
Till you see them again.
That painful heartache,
Pulsing with each thought.
Always thinking,
It could be a hell of a lot worse.
Then it is,
As salty tears tail
Over pinkened cheeks.
No one sees on the outside,
As the inside bleeds.
Scars forming over the
Long period of time
Then you finally realize,
It’s all over.
Before the good-bye.
