Good Feelin' Poem by Barry Van Allen

Good Feelin'

Rating: 5.0

Feelin' good today,
'cause I wanted it that way,
I made my mind up long ago,
not to let the world upset me!

No matter what may come my way,
on this early summers day,
I won't bow down,
I will not let worry get me.

Today I heard my footsteps, walking pavement,
I loved and held a puppy in my arms,
I found a city near to here and stopped there,
I drove on hilly roads, and past some farms.

Life's been pretty good to me here lately,
It's not place or time or month of May,
It seems to me that this all started,
when she came my way!

Perhaps it all began,
when I came to understand,
that it is the way I've learned to see things,
that makes me what I am, at any given time.

Good feeling reading this poem. Loved the puppy part, too. I don't see how anyone can be unhappy around a puppy. :) Sincerely, Connie Webb

Barry...There's a lot to be said for a positive attitude. You realize this when you feel it slipping from your grasp. Hugs, Dee
