Good Speed Poem by Mwenyeji Spikes

Good Speed

Never too early, never too late
Should we be wary of the timing of the things we contemplate?
Patience too thin like a thread, we know not of the future, yet we pretend
So many things in our lives unfold that we do not comprehend
A calendar in our hands we may have but not idea how things turn out in the end

I have worries in my head, worries of a time wasted
Will the time gone by ever be restored or will I fail in all I was tested
A lot will tell you trust in the process and God speed
My heart loses hope or the zeal to wait longer indeed
Maybe the rhythm of my seasons was stolen from me and the thief deceased

If yet I anchor my hope on the timing set by my maker
I should be wise to know the creator has a plan set in tandem with my destiny
The yearnings of my heart only He knows, the tide will rise and fall only when he so orders
Above my shortcomings and failures I will keep my stride and walk in velour
I will not be swayed by the deafening voices of doubt when I know God Speed is the only right
