A cold breeze blows between us, no warmth to be found.
Hearts crumpled in a heap on the floor
They are continuously being beaten down
We hurt each other with the words we say.
Words that are said out of spite.
Neither of us willing to end this fight.
Goodbye is so easy to say
Its just so easy to walk away

Push and shove instead of making love
Faces filled with hate,
Bodies filled with rage
The past we no longer see
Its gone
We leave ‘us’ behind
We walk away
Goodbye is so easy to say

Now no words are spoken, no love is given
Just silent anger and hurt
Emptiness eats at my heart

How do we know we cant win this battle if we aren’t willing to try
Is it so easy to leave it behind?
Don’t let our journey come to an end,
Maybe if we try our hearts can mend
Goodbye is not something I want to say
Don’t walk away
