Goodbye To The Gallbladder Poem by Randy McClave

Goodbye To The Gallbladder

Goodbye to the gallbladder she said
As she relaxed and rested in the hospital bed,
Now she knew there would be no more pain
And no more getting sick, or maybe going insane.
To be honest and to be true
She never knew the purpose of you,
She had thought that God had put the gallbladder there
Just to take up some space, and air.
Soon she'll be given sedation
Then the orderlies will wheel her in for her operation,
Then when later she does awake
From her operation, the gallbladder the doctor will take

Goodbye to the gallbladder
No more will she be sick or sadder,
It had caused her so much discomfort and misery
Many times she felt intense agony.
Now the gallbladder is gone, happily she thought, "so long"
She knew it had done her very wrong,
Soon, there will be no sadness or sorrow
When she wakes up tomorrow.
She will waken with a very happy painless feeling
As her body will be adjusting and healing,
The gallbladder had not been needed or kissed
Because like an ex, the gallbladder will not be missed.
