Goodness Forsaken Poem by Dorsey Baker

Goodness Forsaken

Pretending to be blind
Ignoring the truth
You become guilty of
The death of yourself
Having no proof of identity
You imprison

Yourself in the slavery of dishonesty
And self hate
Allowing the demon of darkness
To penetrate
Your armour of beauty
That once stood as your fortress
