Grace In Grief Poem by Gary James Smith

Grace In Grief

Grace In Grief

There's grace in grief, Hallelujah
O what glory in the Cross
Where Jesus Christ was lifted up
To suffer our deepest loss
And took sin's harshest penalty
And sealed it by His blood
To offer back His life as our Sacricice
Which was well pleasing unto God

Proof of God's acceptance was shown
In that He raised Him from the dead
Now a living hope is assured
Because of Christ our risen Head
And as Resurrection arose in glory
Hallelujah praise His name
For now whomsoever shall call upon Christ
Is never the same again!

Our only source of grace for Salvation
One the other side He's awaiting
When our eternal breath begins
And Death is helpless to cause hesitating
Where forever we shall be...Hallelujah!
Because of our repentance and belief
There in the very presence of Christ our Saviour
The One who offers us grace in our grief!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
