Grass Burns Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Grass Burns

Rating: 5.0

Grass burns

Yes dry grass burns
With green ones
As we have turned irresponsible
Tolerated greedy and corrupt people

We have allowed selfish stance
Accepted cash and kind at once
Now they rule over us
With complete mistrust

Country suffered a lot on all fronts
Right from defense to our wants
We were kept at low
And rich people were only allowed

The expectations have risen
People want to see real heaven
They are frustrated when dreams are not realized
But each government is obliged

Any change brings hardship for people
But it is momentary for causing little troubles
Let us cooperate and stand with decision
The step has been taken with precision
