Great Credit You Are Due Poem by Francis Duggan

Great Credit You Are Due

You may not be wealthy a stranger to fame
And even on your home street not a well known name
But you are a kind person in your own way
And you work very hard for your every pay
In a World where millions of people for success does compete
Only one can become the best on their street
For every winner there must be losers a law of humanity
This is how it is and how it always will be
On the ladder of success you may not have climbed far
But you ought to feel proud of the person you are
Since you are one who is compassionate and kind
And to the helping of others always readily inclined
To your higher self you remain as true
And on how you choose to live great credit you are due
