Great Gift Poem by Francis Duggan

Great Gift

You may be one who has achieved financial success
And so many look up to you and many you impress
But you are not feeling well health-wise of late
You are not the healthiest one in the State
You are a talented person and financially well to do
But there are far happier and healthier people than you
Who work very hard for average take home pay
But they go home happy to their families from work every day
A company director you well may be
But of cares and worries you are one who is not free
Your doctor has advised you for to slow down
Or you will be soon with the deceased of the town
And though many admire you and many you do impress
Your life is the greatest gift you do possess.
