Great Palace Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The famous dynasty ruled the country,
For a long period the rulers lived in this gorgeous palace,
Standing in front of it,
The stranger amazingly thoughtabout the grandeur and splendour of it.
But appearance does not reveal the reality,
As hedelvedinto its reflection in the great mirror of the palace,
The man saw many gloomy spots in its heart.
Those were the significant marks of wounds suffered by it during its long journey,
Which one could never see in its superficial level;
Theenthusiastic stranger understood the hidden truth of the reputed palace.
