Greed Poem by Praveen Kumar In Shobha Priya

Greed

All over greed breeds like wild weed,
None heed nor plead for right yield;
All feed all over the available field,
For, existing creed leads to selfish deed.

Naked stabs, a few; wicked grabs, most,
All are in rat-race in this wicked maze;
Just and right are truly lost as mere waste,
Conscience drops hold in this crass craze.

No micro or macro truly matters here,
No team or size or class or any gender
Fare any better than the any other here;
For, all are here ground in same crucible.

None in this can help human species,
Until the world wakes up to the danger;
United stand alone can dawn lasting peace,
And only common growth firms up his future.

Man treats himself as a broken piece,
Oblivious that he is a soldier in war
‘Gainst nature's dark invisible force
That daunts his move, every endeavour.

Mutual help in truly selfless care,
Willing to come out to mutually share,
Strengthen our roots to be just and fare,
And recreate ‘round a cooperative air.

United we stand, and securely we grow,
Shedding dark greed doubles inner glow
And lights human lamp far wider, and afar
That renders human life far safe and secure.
