Gwtw Poem by Darrin McMiller Jr.

Gwtw

Breezy,
A love so simple and easy
We wrote our names on a cloud
There was love in the air

Now it's gone with the wind
When you walked away
My heart raced to my feet
So I gave chase

I sprinted
Spent my last breath
Just to catch your breath of life
Because life without you
Would be Hell before death
And what's an afterlife without you

My little hand was on a last second grasp for you
Big hand counting down my final minutes,
While you was half-steppin'
Exhausted from run-away love
I sat in depression

And so the lesson goes
Good guys finish last

Very good and very impressive. The thought of losing some one you love is terrible and if true I am sorry for you. But still life goes on and someone else will take her place. A good write. Lynn
