Haggard Hawk
A haggard hawk curiously dropped
A chip of stone on the water of a pond
And created a wave of tricky trap
A frog jumped up thinking that
It might be a new hope, a new life
But from nowhere a crane swooped down
And swallowed it alive
The pond could not punish the culprits
So begged pardon with folded hands.
An interesting poem about the hard facts of nature all around us. I like it.
