A man's strength lies in his heart
Beats firm through all doubts
Beats steadfastly when challenged.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
What is a man is a common question that could only be answered with certainty by a few men - or women. You may not agree with this definition as it's a personal conclusion arrived at by the poet after her encounter with men she had known and admired, one of whom is the man in the photo, the father of her dear friend. A father is known by the way he brings up his son - I am privileged to know both the son and the father who made me know what it is to be a man, regardless of race, creed or religion.

This gentleman is the father of a friend and fellow poet, the template of a man.
