A harbor from storms
Arms gently hold the cradle.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Who could deny that a mother for her child is the noblest and greatest love one can experience. One who bears the pain of childbirth, cares for her child no matter the difficulties and will defend her child from all predators - such is a mother's courage, a measure of her love.

Photo is that of my friend's own mother and a profile of her strength. Kudos to my friend, Karnika Yashwant. It's a privilege to be using your photos in Poem Hunter, no less.
