Hail Ye His Name. Poem by Vin Ace

Hail Ye His Name.

The city gate was wide open to receive.
The people were all out to proclaim.
The donkey and colt, ready to be ridden.
But this city knew not whom they perceived.

Upon a colt, the Christ did ride.
Slowly and paced, the donkey's stride.
Not on a horse as they all did expect.
But this was done, to fulfil what had been said.

On all the road were palms and drapes,
And all the streets were decked with praise.
Hosanna they said to the one that rode,
But his job to do, not one did know.

Let all the people on earth proclaim,
Yes, with a loud voice, O hail his name.
