Haiti, A Kidnapped Country Poem by Hebert Logerie

Haiti, A Kidnapped Country

Rating: 5.0

Haiti
Is a long ago
Kidnapped country
Before the parturition of the harmful bayonets
Where its resources are plundered and sold at the lowest price
By vicious vultures and avaricious predators.
Haiti
Is a vituperated, humiliated, tortured
And degraded country
Before being cowardly betrayed
By countless odious matricides
By fake or false friends
By jealous or audacious enemies
And by fools or brainless creatures.
Haiti is a country that they want to punish
And oppress at all costs, until the nth generation
For having challenged strayed settlers and rapacious demons
For having resounded
The bugles and the bells of freedom
For Blacks and for defeating Napoleon's henchmen.
Haiti is a martyred and ruined country
To the bare baby bones from the udder.
What a victory for the brave rebels
And the Slave Maroons who fought valiantly
And who confused the mephitic pirates and the bad guys!
Haiti is a simple mess
But not a nice idiot
That one can put in noble trash cans
With traitors and tyrants who've ruined in candlelight
This once rich, heavenly and prosperous country
And that today is drowned in the worst stench of miseries.
Haiti
Is a tortured, sacrificed
And murdered potential oasis
Before the sound of muffled and strangled bells.
No one should be surprised at the present situation
Where false friends slyly rejoice behind the trash cans.
Haiti, Haiti, Haiti
It's a country
That the superpowers have blunderingly impoverished.
Watch; watch how filthy thugs and masked enemies are giggling.
Oh! There's a season for the hunters, for the victims
And another will come for the righteous and for the warriors.
Haiti
Is a long ago admired and cherished
Genuine tropical paradise
For his sons, daughters and trusted friends.
Lord darn! They will never manage to muzzle
The poets who will never be afraid
To shout the truth by ringing the bells of freedom.
Haiti, a famished country
Haiti, an anemic country
Haiti, a suffocated country
Haiti, a thirsty country
Haiti, a blind country
Haiti, a scorned country
Haiti, a gagged country
Haiti, a bamboozled country
Haiti, a dazed country
Haiti, a crippled country
Haiti, a cretinized country
Haiti, a mortified country
Haiti, a crucified country
Haiti, a decapitated country
Haiti, a disgorged country
Haiti, a degraded country
Haiti, a destabilized country
Haiti, a devastated country
Haiti, a diminished country
Haiti, a crushed country
Haiti, an emasculated country
Haiti, a poisoned country
Haiti, an enslaved country
Haiti, a strangled country
Haiti, an executed country
Haiti, an exploited country
Haiti, a ravaged country
Haiti, a mummified country
Haiti, a wasted country
Haiti, a humiliated country
Haiti, a hypnotized country
Haiti, a sacrificed country
Haiti, an oppressed country
Haiti, a martyred country
Haiti, a shackled country
Haiti, a deprecated country
Haiti, a muzzled country
Haiti, an oppressed country
Haiti, an ostracized country
Haiti, a paralyzed country
Haiti, a trampled country
Haiti, a plundered country
Haiti, a back stabbed country
Haiti, a belittled country
Haiti, a rejected country
Haiti, a ruined country
Haiti, a suffocated country
Haiti, an overexploited country
Haiti, a zombified country
Haiti, a kidnapped country.
