Happiest Of The Mortals Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Happiest Of The Mortals

Rating: 5.0

In the sultry summer afternoon
The dark cloud pervades the sky,
The boy in the field looks at it as the spy,
He informs his mates to be sure
That rain will come for them to cure.
Immediately it becomes true,
As heavy rain comes down to prove this clue;
'What a pleasant afternoon! '
The boys shout in joy soon.
After a hot summer day,
They are very happy this time to play,
Though they are fully drenched,
They are unwilling to be estranged.
They want to make this time immortal;
Oh! they are the happiest of the mortals.
