Happiness Poem by Irina Doichinova

Happiness

Rating: 4.8

Are you happy?
Where the roses grow
Happiness could be found.
Where birds spread wings
And get lost in a ruby sky
Pearls of happiness
Once I found.
Once when the wind
Carried a petal
To my hair -
I took it.
It was May
And the earth was warm -
There happily my breath
Went out,
Then and there
Happiness I found -
Ephemeral, slipping through my fingers,
Leaving me dreaming
and longing for more.
