Happiness Poem by Anisa Tara

Happiness

Rating: 5.0

From last April
To a June spent in misery
It once came for me
Eagerly

Masquerading
As the musk of a departing lover
Giggles under soiled covers
Tender, calloused fingertips
The apple red of tired lips

A September has come
But I want it to go
An April I once lost
Is all my heart knows

A September has come/ But I want it to go /An April I once lost/ Is all my heart knows/ … lovely writing. Loved the poem. Even though it is melancholy the mood of the poem, the choice of words and phrases make it dear to the reader. Full score
