So we all believe in happy endings,
But we really aren't ever ready for sad ones.
Because that's the way we are taught,
That endings are full of enlightenment,
But what if they are full of torment and pain,
And every time in a different way we drain.
Isn't laughter an aching hollowness?
When the glacier in our eyes wants to flow without a pause,
When we really want to scream the cuts out,
Tainted by everything that brings us joy and relief,
What if we end chastising and giving up?
Are we gonna end up sobbing and whimpering?
Or will somebody hold the depth of the pain ripped under our skin?
Endings aren't always happy
But can we make it to be?
Accepting that anguish and lamentations are life's ways;
What if butchered by the evil memories is just a phase?
Whoever masters the blistering pain and soaks into sorrows,
Will lean onto a bridge no matter how hollow.
In those sinking smiles and solitary try not to get caught,
Because happy endings are just illusive mind's pervasive thoughts.
Well expressed thoughts and feeling penned in persuasive expression with conviction. Thanks for sharing and do remain enrichedr
