The hero, guru and guide of kids,
The power, courage and pride of kids,
The writer of a child's fate,
The shield from hell, the Heaven's gate,
The food, clothes and shelter of kids,
The bodyguard and the protector of kids,
The proud smile of a child's face,
The firm support, the warm embrace,
The one who fulfils child's every dream,
The love, honour, identity, esteem,
The real roof over a child's head,
The one who sweats for a child's bread,
The child's friend, so loyal and sweet,
The child's world, safe and complete,
The tough by face, soft by heart,
Whom a thousand mothers replace not,
The gift of God, the safest lap,
The sweetest anger, the kindest slap ,
The one who is addressed as father,
The strongest pillow of every son and daughter.
All kids walk happily on the ground
When they have their father around.
Go and hug your fathers today
And Wish them a happy father's day.
Pray for them if they are no more
And give some charity to the poor.
