Harsh Reality Poem by Ima Ryma

Harsh Reality

Rating: 5.0

A young robin out of its nest
Is perched on a metal beam that
Provides slim protection at best
In a real hostile habitat.
No way to know what had occurred
To put this young robin in threat
Of soon becoming a dead bird
From a fate not happening yet.
A google of the robin states,
Of young, just twenty five percent
Do live beyond their first year dates.
This robin knows not to lament.

Odds are that though it's still alive,
This young robin will not survive.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I am overwhelmed reading your concern for the birds.
