He Could Not Sleep Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

It was a very difficult task,
The young man tried
To do it with rapt attention,
But in vain,
His effort proved futile,
Still he did not give up,
He tried and tried with great determination,
The sun set,
Gradually, dark evening came,
The atmosphere became calm and silent,
Eventually he succeeded
To accomplish the task after several attempts,
Then the man became happy and contented,
But being tired,
Soon he fell deep asleep,
At midnight the young soul dreamt
More and more difficult tasks waiting for him,
Being anxious, he woke up
And could not sleep any more.
