He Loved His Ole Tractor Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

He Loved His Ole Tractor

He loved all his family,
and would want them to know.
He loved laughing,
his smile told them so.

He simply loved living,
what more could one say?
He loved the friendships
he made along the way.

He loved good cookin'
from favorite places he'd go.
He loved his Dear Jesus,
and to church often he'd go.

He loved his two horses,
"Maggie and Cisco, "
He loved his bird Tuffy;
and was sure to let you know.

And one more thing
I'm pretty sure it's true;

Jim loved his old tractor.

It is dedicated in loving memory of Jim Benton Holland,1937-2019.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
About the poem:

I wrote this poem for use in the memorial service for my neighbor's father. He was a good man, a great dad, and a wonderful grandfather. He loved many things, but especially his ole tractor.
I hope you enjoy it!
