He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not Poem by Tabatta Nunes

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

As I sit hear on my bed, I pick up the Red Rose that my lover has bought me, and I start saying:

“He loves me as much as the moon is drawn to the oceans beauty.” (I gently take off the first petal and dropp it on the floor)
“ He loves me NOT like how a cat hates water” (2nd petal)
“ He loves me more than how much Romeo loved Juliet” (3rd petal)
“ He loves me NOT like how a fox hates a rabbit ” (4th petal)
“ He loves me as much as a child loves Candy ” (5th petal)
“ He loves me NOT like how dog hates a mail man” (6th petal)
“ He loves me more than anything else in the world ” (Last petal)

As I watch the last and most beautiful petal gently float to the ground, I look up and see my lover at my bedroom door. My lover smiles his radiant smile at me and then says
“ The Red Rose was right, I do love you more than anything else in the world. ”

* This poem is dedicated to my big sister Kelin & her Husband Ronaldo
