Heart In Disrepair Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Heart In Disrepair

Broken windows and doors of this heart are left un-
repaired in life, knowing that there will never be
trust for anyone else in this poetical life.

Heart now being lived through music, poetry and art,
keeping safely hidden away, not letting anyone get
close ever again.

Heartbreak is much to painful after finding a love
that was thought to be fine, and soon after, finding
just the opposite is true.

Abuse, verbal and mental rearing its head from men
all the time, not ever wanting to experience any of
it again.

Leaving this heart in disrepair as a constant remind-
er that love is a lie and needs to be left on the way-
side forever more.
