Let the rain come
And continue to pour
As the grey skies cover the barren trees
The blackbirds fly through them
As though, they are invisible while the trees sleep
I sit here listening to the country radio station
The words are filled with heartache and whiskey
Leaving me emptier that before
But the dawn has come
And the sun shines brightly drying the ground
That once was muddy with doubt
Leaving me stand tall
Carrying yr memory in my heart
