Hearts Dance - Poem by Jafar S B Alam

Coming forward into a coloured dance
In front of me, dressed in beautiful silk
Jasmine and roses in your hazel eyes
The fragrance of you is in the air.

Writing of loneliness, in prayer, the night arrives,
The waters of this soul stir,
And in my heart a beautiful song
Pulls all of me into the dance.

Live from my life, my door is open for you
So long as your eyes look up at me.

As long as my blood continues to flow
Death won't come between us.
