Verse 1
Hearts and souls comes alive through the nighttime
I glide through the sky-line
There's always a time to throw somebody a lifeline
So many things has happened between our time-lines
Is there truly a fine-line between a heart
And her defined lines?
So many try to redefine time losing sight of
What was not realizing when you've been
Makes you better than you ever been before
Knowing that heart-break will sometimes occur
But it's all about the way you continue
To emerge just feel the love and let it splurge
Just know there's a greater good higher at work
Just know that you've heard it here first
Verse 2
There came a point in my life where I was afraid
To love I would place anyone above and
When push came to shove
In a world that you have to be tough
Only to fall flat upon my face
Splattering upon the canvass
Yeah Richie got tore up, How could he have
Ignored us, but time and time again
I picked myself from the floor up
And began to feel like the
Buttons of Benjamin with youthful exuberance
Verse 3
Man, Benjamin Button I'd do anything for her
Loving Because in a world where all we have
Are ourselves and no one really ever did owe
Us nothing we have to hold onto something
Or we become the shell of ourselves
So many times we've had gone to that well
Only to dwell within our living hell
I always did wish her well
While thinking bigger than myself
But I'm just an broken down artist
Trying to break ground onto a greater scale
And no doubt some are wanting to see me fail
I've watched a few friends face slowly grow pale
But those are their own stories onto themselves
Did I make them proud I guess only time will tell
While slowly crying as my elders slowly grow frail
Verse 4
I tend to get lost in the moments
Just trying to wish and wash around my opponents
Taking what was taught to me as a token
Because every action, Lost letter, and word
Left unspoken only sets into motion
Of what could of been or what we should have done
I've seen people literally fall off the grid with a
Freudian slip although their emotions take an
Immediate dip and just off the rip and straight
From the cuff tell me what do you do
When your all is not enough?
When you're treading on the verge of giving up?
Shout out to Robin Williams he was the greatest
Comedian of them all, It's hard to see the legends
Fall and how we as humans get through it all,
If we see our Legends not handling their internal
Pain well at all, But no one now days wants to talk
Only blaming others, tell me whose truly at fault?
Just things I tend to unload straight from the vault
Richie, we're better off, yeah but at what cost?
While watching help slowly come to an halt
Or barely at all how many people have we've lost?
Verse 5
Every pain and regret that blisters from deep
Inside of my chest all the scars interwoven and
Embedded deep inside of my flesh or better yet
All the raw emotions that gnaws at my intellect
That forces you to never forget
Those little nuggets of time that helps redefine
What it's like to be human
People lied if they've ever said' there's not really
Anything to it' only dousing more C02 upon the
Lighter fluid and when the dynamite wick
Finally ignite its flame to it we look back at the
Wake of destruction and the pain that we caused
And how we always seemed to blew it
But you already knew this still we sit here
And remain solidarity clueless
Looking quite foolish
No one ever did try to refute it
Because we all knew it was quite useless
As we're having to face up to the music
