Heaven Or Legoland Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Heaven Or Legoland

It's madness she said
When they piled upon her head
And forced a station wagon to run over reason

We'll be the toys
In a pre-arranged victory acted out by those with no grasp of history
Shuddering facile boxed-in mental state

The legend of capitalism
And what they bought to keep themselves occupied is its own museum
The silence was pregnant and what it delivered was disorder

We scream to stand in line and walk around until we have blisters on our feet
Territory confinement made us needlessly desperate
As if this is the ultimate advancement of the precious thought

Fragile token of a dispirited pattern
Following a pattern without an ounce of fight left
I follow the small people and the big people, the destination is unimportant

Do you remember when we first met?
I built paradise from the envisioned journey now hope others keep it going
They'll build a brand new you and me out of Legos
