Heaven Scent Poem by Matthew Holloway

Heaven Scent

Heaven scent
~
youthful angels
children at play
Smiling faces
infectious laughter
the kind you like
to hear all morning
while you sip coffee
they’ll always be
sweet little cherubs
in those moments
which never last
long enough
cherish them
each moment
every laugh
all those
comeback kids
cheeky quips
tantrums, shouting
you’re too old
to be kept caught out
but who would change
any of it in the end
they're all
heaven scent
