Heaven Sent Poem by Jean Dament

Heaven Sent

My mood was gray...while my whole day seemed gray too,
Everything was spiraling out of control, causing me to feel oh! so blue,
A flat tire had left me feeling so stressed & weary;
While watching the road carefully I felt leary,
But as I drove home into the calm dusk of the night
I noticed a change in the horizon up in plain sight,
The setting sun was reflecting a heavenly light of gold,
It was a most glorious scene to behold,
Soft, fluffy clouds of pinks & blues streaking their way across the full sky's expanse;
That left me feeling serene & captured in a trance,
The day had started out with much trouble.... where I was all spent,
But God in his tender mercy had guided me home; while touching my soul with such beauty...that surely it must have been heaven sent.
