Michael Potter

Her - Poem by Michael Potter

I feel you're holding your breath
Let me hold your breath
So we can touch
I can feel your chest
Pounding next to mine
I would give you my heart
But it's not very much

A burning of longing and passion within
As I savour this warmth
And the taste of your skin

Your gaze that I long for
Is longing for me
Because I know
Only with you
Will I ever breathe

There are 3 words in mind
I'm begging to say
But I keep holding back
In hopes you might stay
