Her First Poem by angel lockheart

Her First

Tears crash down my face,
Landing on my lips
And hesitating in the crevice between
Then splashing down my neck,
shimmering on my collar bone,
And sliding down over my chest
Because you don’t get it,
That I know you love her
And use me as a substitute,
Picturing her face as you look at me,
Thinking her name when you say mine,
Leaving my heart in one more piece
Than the last time I talked to you,
Because each time before you talk to me,
You say hi to her first
See how she’s doing first
Care for her first,
Love her first
And I know it’s selfish
But for once,
Can I come first?

Fine poem. Well said and all too true for many women. Still, you must find someone else. The situation you describe is that of being a doormat. You do the picking. Don't wait to be selected. Nothing is more powerful than a woman with an independent mind. You never end up being the substitute lover.
