falling cold raining heavily here
so like a bear I am darkness retreating
to hibernate in winter den sleeping
to sleep in sweet summer dreams
spring streams honey dripping eating
upon migrating salmon fish feeding
safe from ice snow cold wind spine chill blows
safe from ice hail pelting blizzards bitter banshee raging
safe from severe storm high winds terror howling
safe from ice snow cold freezing wind blows
safe from ice hail pelting blizzards bitter raging
safe from severe storm high winds howling
snow blast snow squall white out painting
death in lost high mountain passes freezing
safe in dreams of summer breeze embracing

This is a lovely winter poem; the analogy of the bear in hibernation is absolutely beautiful.
