Hidden Feelings Poem by Brendan Duffy

Hidden Feelings

Shy glances from across the class
I catch you stare, you look away quickly
I smile at your sudden movement
Red with embarrassment your skin goes prickly

I noticed you since before you knew me
The way you carry your bag around
The way you bite your lip
When you make a frown

I spot you in the local club
You looked so amazing
I stand there on my own
Like a cow in a field grazing!

I can't bring myself to tell you
I think bout you all the time
Too shy to be honest
That i want you to be mine

It's been a year since then
We are together now
Very happy and content
Not anymore a lonely cow!

So baby i know its not very romantic
It's probably more funny than sweet
But if you stick with me
I'll sweep you off your feet!
