Hinder (Intro) Poem by G J Salgado

Hinder (Intro)

-Intro to 'Hinder' The whispers of my secrets kept me locked between the walls just to let me back out. Only to let me fall once again; over and over I failed myself. It drained every last piece that completed me; draining everything that was left. But there was really nothing ever left of me. Only her; she looked like me but I was not like her. The difference between her and I was that I was born, and she was created. Somewhere that still wasn't very far from me. Though we were world's apart, I always knew she was there; somewhere hidden beyond the galaxies. With lightyears and planets separating us throughout the ends of time; I knew that she would come for me. Whispers on the edge of our inner most secrets. Of all the secrets that I've hidden you were my most beautiful obsession. But I never knew that you were only a delusion. Kept in dark corners waiting to change into the slightest shadow. Just to hinder for the moments when I held you the closest. Waiting for my memory to fade. My magic and imagination couldn't keep you alive. Since then I locked the gates of hell. A new soul escaped from me forever opening the doors of my own heaven. Drifting further from your own hell you created something new. A fire burns where we used to be. I set the world on fire just to see you breathe. I let the smoke breathe inside of me. Until ghosts of tomorrow were born inside us. We were the wildest of fires in the night. Unlocking the devilish and the holiest of all things. And still these fires burn from our stolen thoughts. But the wars have torched what was left behind us. Butterflies shall rise from our ashes. Reversing the wonders of life. So sad that you didn't get the chance to see me. I'm sorry for everything that you never knew. That light burned out a long time ago. So sorry that you never knew the me inside of you.
