His Chasing Loneliness Poem by Indira Renganathan

His Chasing Loneliness

His son lived far away
Long ago his wife passed away
He had to live in a lonely way
With no happiness by any way

His pride and prestige irked
That not a Home for the old he liked
As days passed his day timely neared
Innerly he sensed it and feared

Month after, for days ten, passing by his house
An odour people got doused and roused
To throw up their stomach. Aroused
They broke open his house. Alas.. found him dead

His rich house was with him
His cadaver was with him
Yet he was in a lonely realm
As his life was not with him
