His Divine, Lord Krishna Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

His Divine, Lord Krishna

Rating: 5.0

A plethora of loveliness
Unfolds like petals of a blooming flower
Filling the air with secret fragrances
That leads me into the lush green meadow of Vrindavan
Where I find myself in a different epoch
Of sight, smell and sound.
I hear His sweet mellifluous murali
And am spellbound by its intriguing magic
I witness The Bhagwan perform His leela
As a naughty child sitting in the lap of His doting mother Yashoda!
I see Him in the meadows and pastures of Vrindavan
As a cowherd tending his cattle under the brilliant sun
And again in the woodlands adjoining the river Yamuna
Performing raas leela with gopis and His beloved Radha.
I seen him lift the mighty Mt. Gorvardhan
And thus deal a blow to Indira’s false pride,
Subdue multi- hooded snake the deadly Kaliya
Who dared to poison the holy river Yamuna,
And then with his poor childhood friend Sudama
Onto whom He bestows prosperity.
O God! My heart is blessed with a million milling image
That dispels darkness with its rich heritage.
