History An Onion Skin Poem by Terence George Craddock

History An Onion Skin

Rating: 5.0

history is an onion skin
layer upon layer of skin
each skin but a layer a slice...

a peel stripped from peel peel peel
entire epochs of history entire civilizations
have passed into nothing less than dust...

without a ripple without an echo
emotions passions lives lost generations...
