History And Testosterone Poem by Raymond Farrell

History And Testosterone

Testosterone is found in all vertebrates
Like other steroid hormones
It is derived from cholestrol
The average level is
Seven to eight times higher in men than women
It is a necessary hormone
For males to become mature men
Studies link it to greater risk taking
And aggressive behavior and feelings
It courses through the veins
Of the male youth in large amounts
These are the ones
Who have always been called on
To fight the wars
Or to support violent change
It is a wise society
That does not alienate
And disenfranchise the male youth
But Western culture
Is once again behaving unwisely
Inequalities of the past
Are being settled
Not by equality
Being enacted
And then letting
Time and attrition
Bring things into balance
But instead
There is a demand
For instant solutions
Which are being arrived at
By increasingly marginalizing
The male youth of today
History teaches us lessons
We need to pay attention to
The roaring 1920s
Were a time of reckless spending
And licentious living
In Hamburg, Germany
You could watch
Live sex shows
Heterosexual gay whatever you please
The Nazis stood at less than 2% in the polls
But the financial collapse of 1929
Saw the pendulum swing the other way
Why the dramatic change?
Because the disenfranchised angry
Male youths of the day
Fell for the Nazi propaganda
And rallied to their cause
History and testosterone are tied together
And it is never wise
To marginalize the one group
That has the most testosterone
Coursing through their veins.

At nearly six decades of age, I have very little testosterone left. : -) But your point is well taken
